Colt Starting with Parelli Professional Berin Macfarlane

Berin is pleased to announce that he is offering a unique opportunity to give your horse the start it deserves. A good start is not something, it is everything.

He is now available for the public to help you with your horse. This is your chance to take advantage of this limited opportunity and book in your horse for starting and or Foundation Training.

Berin has been starting horses for the last 8 years in both Australia and in the USA. The last 5 years he has spent in the USA, starting young horses, teaching horsemanship and training horses for Pat Parelli at his Facilities in both Colorado and Florida.

Some of the things to expect from sending your horse to Berin to be Started (first 15 rides) or for Re-Starting will include the following:

Details of the Program

The young horse-starting program lasts four weeks. It’s about starting a relationship, so the owner can then develop a partnership, and progress, safely, and confidently, with a willing horse.

After the first week Berin will re-evaluate your horse and will inform you of its progress and any special needs if necessary.

At the completion of the colt start, the owner attends a turnover period in a lesson form, which includes: a session on the ground, followed by riding in an arena and a trail ride.

An individual program will also be included for when you take your horse home.

All hay is provided. Any specific dietary requirements must be brought with you.

All horses that stay at Berin's facility must come with an up to date vaccination certificate(including StrepEqui, influenza and rhino) no longer than 90 days old, but at least 14 days old.

Berin will accept any age of horse, providing it is physically strong enough. Ideally, three years old is the best age to be started.

Stallions are not taken in unless the rider is a level 3 graduate.

If you require any more information, please contact Berin.
